Standard foam boards are petroleum products. Once fire reaches the cavity the insulation feeds it, and the fire moves through the assembly faster than the structure can survive.

Lightweight boards can be cut to the required dimensions and are designed for a friction fit — no adhesives, no specialized tools — making installation straightforward across a range of applications.
